Day 1: Fes to Midelt (via Ifrane and Azrou)
Depart from Fes and head into the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, known for its European architecture and nickname “Little Switzerland.” Continue to the cedar forests of Azrou, where you may spot Barbary monkeys. Drive through scenic mountain landscapes before arriving in the town of Midelt.
Day 2: Midelt to Merzouga (via Ziz Valley)
After breakfast, travel south through the Ziz Valley, famous for its lush palm groves and picturesque kasbahs. Enjoy the scenic drive through this valley before reaching Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. In the late afternoon, take a camel trek into the desert dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you’ll experience a magical sunset. Spend the night in a traditional desert camp, enjoying dinner and music under the stars.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert Exploration
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, spend the day exploring the Merzouga area. Visit nearby Berber villages and experience traditional Gnaoua music in the village of Khamlia. You may also meet nomadic families or explore the dunes by 4x4. Return to your desert camp or a local hotel in Merzouga for a second night.
Day 4 :Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
We will back to Marrakech you will take some photographic shots of the Taourirt Kasbah, we will drive 30 minutes to reach one of the oldest Berber villages and World UNESCO Heritage Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, then continue through Tizi n’ tichka Pass over the High Atlas Mountains with numerous stops for bird-views and also for having breaks till we reach the red-city Marrakech. Overnight in your accommodation in Marrakech.
