Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Upon arrival, we’ll pick you up from the airport and transfer you to a cozy riad in Medina, Marrakech’s vibrant old town. A short walk away is the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square, where you can explore the lively atmosphere filled with street performers, snake charmers, and storytellers. Spend the afternoon wandering the square or relaxing at your riad or hotel.
Day 2: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Telouet Kasbah – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
Our adventure begins with an 8:30 am departure, traveling by 4x4 through the scenic High Atlas Mountains. We’ll cross the Tizi N'Tichka Pass, the highest in Morocco, where you can capture photos of Berber villages and dramatic mountain landscapes.
We’ll take a detour to Telouet Kasbah for a traditional lunch, then continue through the Ounila Valley to reach Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its fortified ksar. After exploring this historic site, we’ll head to Ouarzazate for dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel.
Day 3: Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Merzouga Desert (Camel Ride & Berber Tent)
After breakfast, we’ll drive through the stunning Draa Valley, passing traditional Berber villages and kasbahs. We’ll stop for photos along the way before enjoying lunch in Nkob or Alnif. In Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara, we’ll embark on a camel trek, riding across the golden dunes to a Berber camp. Spend the night in a nomadic tent, dining under the stars in the tranquil desert.
Day 4: Merzouga Desert – Nomad Families – Tissardmin Oasis – Erg Chebbi Dunes
Start your morning with a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes. After returning to Merzouga for breakfast, we’ll set off to explore the Erg Chebbi region, home to Morocco’s highest dunes.
Our route follows the Paris-Dakar rally track, taking us to Tissardmin Oasis, where we’ll meet nomadic families and see their way of life. We’ll also visit Khamlia village, known for its unique Gnawa music. After returning to your accommodation in Merzouga, enjoy the free afternoon, perhaps watching the sunset over the dunes. Dinner and overnight at a local hotel.
Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani Market – Erfoud Fossils – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
After breakfast, we’ll visit Rissani, a historic town with one of Morocco’s largest traditional souks. Next, we’ll stop in Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops, before traveling through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinejdad.
We’ll reach Todra Gorges, where you can marvel at the dramatic limestone cliffs. After lunch, we’ll continue to Dades Valley, stopping at “Monkey Fingers,” a unique rock formation. Dinner and overnight in the Dades Gorge.
Day 6: Dades Valley – Skoura Palm Groves – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
After breakfast, enjoy views of Dades Valley’s impressive landscapes, including ancient kasbahs and sandcastles. We’ll drive along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, stopping in the Valley of Roses and the palm groves of Skoura.
In Ouarzazate, you can visit Taourirt Kasbah, the Film Studios, or the Cinema Museum (optional). After lunch, we’ll cross the Tizi N'Tichka Pass and arrive in Marrakech around 6 pm. Overnight at a hotel in Marrakech.
Day 7: Marrakech Sightseeing Tour
Today, we’ll explore Marrakech’s historical and cultural landmarks. We’ll visit the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, and the beautiful Majorelle Gardens. We’ll end the day in Jemaa el-Fnaa, where you can wander the medina’s alleys and vibrant souks. Overnight at a riad.
Day 8: Departure from Marrakech
After breakfast, depending on your flight time, we’ll transfer you to the airport.
