Tour Plan
Day 1 : fes azrou Midelt Merzouga
Our three-day tour from Fez to the Merzouga desert begins with a walk through the Middle Atlas and the cedar forest of your hotel or riad in Fez. We go through Ifrane, a reputable ski resort, and Midelt, a town known for its minerals and apples. We continue until Erfoud, famous for its fossil products, then until Rissani passing through the valley of Ziz.
Afterwards we meet our desert guide when we get to the desert Erg Chebbi. We prepare for a camel ride through the sandy dunes of Merzouga and spend the first night of our three-day holiday in the Fez desert in a Sahara desert camp.
Day 2: Desert tour : Khamlia nomad families.
It is recommended to get up early on the second day of the 3-day Fes Tour in the Merzouga Desert to witness the beauty of a desert sunrise and the incredible calm of the Sahara; this is a fantastic time to experience the silence and shifting hues as the sun rises on the dunes.
You will then ride your camel back to the departure point after returning to the camp, where breakfast will be ready for you and a hot shower will prepare you for the day’s journey.
We will pick you up and begin your Merzouga desert tour by visiting all of the interesting sites around Erg Chebbi dunes, including the seasonal Lake of Merzouga known as “Lake Sirji,” Khamlia village for GNAWA music, Mines for a variety of stones known as “Mefes” to nomad families, and RISSANI Market, the area’s largest souk.
Arrival in the afternoon and have the rest of the day free before spending the night in Merzouga in a local hotel/ Riad.
Day 3 : Merzouga ziz valley Midelt fes
Today, you will say goodbye to the desert, on your way to Fes through Erfoud, a small town famous for carving marble stones and fossils, and discover the Ziz Valley and the palm trees until Midelt, another small town famous for its apple production.
You will most likely stop for lunch at a nearby restaurant or in Zaida, a small town nearby.
Afterwards, we will return to Fes by the cedar of Azrou. Arrival in Fez around 6pm and drop off at your hotel, where our 3-day tour from Fez to Merzuga will end.
