Tour Plan
Day 1: Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen
Kick off your tour with a drive through the Rif Mountains and past the city of Tetouan. Stop to rest and take in the breathtaking views of the landscape at the feet of the Rif mountains in Chefchaouen. The medina in Chefchaouen features strong Spanish architecture, as it was once part of "Spanish Morocco." Explore the funky artisanal shops and rooftop restaurants and cafes in the square or relax in the Riads with a nice breeze and wonderful view in the evening.
Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
After a tasty breakfast, our journey continues towards Volubilis, passing through Ouazan and other Rif villages. In Volubilis, we will explore the Roman ruins and learn about Moroccan history. We will then continue on to Meknes, where we will stop for lunch and explore the historical walls of the medina, including Bab el Mansour, and visit the Moulay Ismail shrine. In the afternoon, we will head to Fes, where we will spend the night.
Day 3: Exploring Fes
We will start the day exploring the oldest city in Morocco, winding our way through its alleys and narrow streets. We will begin sightseeing at the Royal Palace gate, followed by the Jewish quarter where the first Mellah (Jewish neighborhood) was built in Morocco during the 16th century. We will ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest, including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region. We will also visit the Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you will visit various cooperatives and then enjoy a wonderful panoramic view over the entire Medina of Fes.
Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga
The day begins with a drive towards the Atlas Mountains, stopping to visit the village of Ifrane. Here, we will have the opportunity to explore the famous cedar forest, home to the Berber apes. We will then continue through the Tiz Ntalghamt Mountain Pass and the Ziz Gorge, where we can stop for pictures and local mint tea, to Midelt. We will then continue on to Merzouga, arriving at our campsite where we will spend the night.
Day 5: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge
We’ll wake up and head to a local hotel where you’ll get a chance to freshen up and enjoy a complimentary breakfast before we head to Ouarzazate. On the way there, well visit Berber villages home to The Todra and Dades Gorge. At the Dades Gorge, we’ll stop at a local hotel where we’ll spend the night.
Day 6: Dades valley – Rose valley – Ouarzatte – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakesh
After breakfast, we will continue our tour towards Ouarzazate along the path of a thousand Kasbahs (fortresses). We will stop at Kalaat Mgouna, the center of the Valley of Roses, which is famous for its annual Rose Festival. We will then drive through Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site
Day 7: Marrakesh Sightseeing
Today we’ll have a guided tour of Marrakesh. You will explore the main attractions and monuments of the city including the famous Jamma el Fna square, Koutoubia mosque, the souks, palaces, and museums. We’ll also explore parts of the city such as Gueliz, The Menara Gardens, and Majorelle.
Day 8: Transfer to the airport
Today you’ll be transferred to the airport.
