Tour Plan
First day: Departure from the city of Marrakech to discover the magic of the Moroccan south.
Escape the bustle of Marrakech and venture into the breathtaking Tizi n'Tichka pass, where you can witness the daily life of rural villages. In the afternoon, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Ksar of Ait Benhaddou, a beautiful and well-preserved example of South Moroccan architecture. This kasbah is one of the finest in the country and is a must-see for anyone interested in Moroccan history and culture.
Next, your journey will take you to the city of Ouarzazate, known as the "Hollywood of Africa" due to the many films that have been shot there, including Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and Star Wars. For the night, you will stay in Skoura, a beautiful oasis surrounded by vast palm groves and offering stunning views of the Atlas Mountains.
Day 2: The start of a tour of Wonderland from the journey to the discovery of the magic of southern Morocco.
Start your day by visiting the iconic Kasbah Amridil, then embark on a journey along the road of a thousand Kasbahs towards the Sahara Desert. As you travel, you will pass through the dry and rugged Boumalne Dades. Along the way, be sure to stop at the Todra Gorge, also known as the Grand Canyon of the Sahara. This massive trench rises over 300 meters, offering breathtaking views and a truly dramatic natural sight in Morocco.
Today, you will have the opportunity to explore the stunning limestone stacks that offer the perfect setting for a leisurely hike. As the day comes to a close, you will settle into a luxurious desert camp in Merzouga. Here, you will be surrounded by breathtaking reddish-hued sand dunes that reach up to 150 meters in height, creating an otherworldly landscape. Take a short camel ride at sunset, then return to your camp for a traditional dinner and a cozy campfire. As you drift off to sleep, you will be lulled by the soothing sounds of the desert.
Day 3 : The continuation of the visit to the wonderland of the journey to discover the magic of the Moroccan south
Today, you will have the opportunity to explore the city of Rissani, located in the southern part of Morocco. This city is known for its location at the gates of the desert, at the crossroads of two major trans-Saharan routes, and a few kilometers from a river and an oasis. This strategic location was the reason for the building of the tradepost of Sijilmasa here in the middle of the 8th century, on the outskirts of modern-day Rissani. After exploring Rissani, you will continue to NKOUBE for a lunch break. From there, you will head to Alnif, a lonely stretch of desert road in southeastern Morocco. Alnif and the surrounding basin are known as the best place in Morocco, and one of the most renowned in the world, for collecting the prehistoric creatures known as trilobites.
After enjoying our time there we continue to Agdz The city lies at the foot of Djebel Kissane and on the banks of the river Draa. A long oasis stretches between Agdz and Zagora. Villages have been built around the old kasbahs and green palm groves are spread along the road.
Day 4 : The last day of the journey to discover the magic of the Moroccan south
After a hearty breakfast, you will embark on a new adventure through the Djbel Kissane before reaching the city of Ouarzazate. Known as the "door to the desert," Ouarzazate is a small town located in the High Atlas mountains of south-central Morocco. It was famously used as the setting for the city of Pentos in the popular television show Game of Thrones. At the end of the day, your adventure will come full circle as you return to the starting point of your journey - the vibrant city of Marrakech.
